Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was selected as the Keep Cape Beautiful award winner for October 2017.
The honor is bestowed by the Keep Cape Beautiful Committee through the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, and winners are selected by committee members.
“We have a beautiful building and have been blessed with a dedicated maintenance team and lawn crew who keep it looking great,” said Executive Director Mamye Whitten. “We’re honored that the city would choose us to receive this award.”
In addition to a sign displayed in the front lawn all month, Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau received a plaque presented by Mayor Harry Rediger at the Oct. 2 City Council meeting.
“While it’s great to receive this recognition, what’s really beautiful is the way our staff cares for our residents,” Whitten said. “We really have an amazing team. I like to say we’re beautiful inside and out.”
